We are the Stickleys

A night out on the Southbank and we had some fun with the Stiks. Find these friends under the Hungerford Railway Bridge in Waterloo. They'll be waiting for you.

Picnics, Tea and Agatha

The weather is still perfect in London and we are taking full advantage. We packed up yet another Pret picnic and watched some feathered friends in St James Park. Then we made our way over to Yumchaa for a business chat over a fresh pot of tea. Out on the sidewalk we bumped into the memorial sculpture of the brilliant Agatha Christie.  It reminded me I should pick up a new mystery, but book browsing only turned up fancy first editions.

At the Table

This is the loveliest spot in the flat. A perfect view looking out over St Paul's Covent Garden.

Richmond and Pertersham Nuseries

My first full day in London was as perfect as possible. I don't know how anything can top it from here on out. Lisa and I Tubed it into the little town of Richmond. We strolled by the waterfront and met up with a herd of cattle. With our Pret picnic packed, we scouted out the best picnic spot in Richmond nature reserve. But, the main destination of our trip was Petersham Nuseries. It is the most beautiful garden store/tea house imaginable. Flowers, butterflies, old tables and mix matched chairs everywhere. In the green house, we sat down for a big slice of cake and a pot of chamomile tea. Heaven.
