Montmartre Cemetery

One doesn't usually think of a cemetery as a place to visit when traveling, but in Paris you can find yourself walking around one for hours. There's a quiet beauty in the the moss covered monuments, old headstones and sculptures. You can visit many resting places of famous writers, artists and musicians. Some of Montmartre Cemetery's most famous graves are those of dancer Vaslav Nijinsky and painter Edgar Degas.
