Salzburg

A day trip to Salzburg was always part of the plan. It is the land of "The Sound of Music"! We took the train into town and despite the rainy weather we were ready to explore. Mirabell Gardens was just as beautiful as we'd imagined it to be.  We skipped around fountains just as the Von Trapp children would do. We sought out edelweiss plants and sang about the hills being alive. Before our day ended, we sampled the Austrian famed sacher torte and grabbed a Julius Meinl coffee for the train home.
