Florence

The longest leg of our trip was in Florence. Being here for a full week, we really got to know our surroundings. We had our favorite gelato shops, knew the best happy hours, and even got to know the lady at the corner store. We walked by the Florence Cathderal and the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella everyday. One day we did visit the hilltop town of Fiesole and followed one of the panoramic walks laid out. It was a view of Florence that you can't find anywhere else. Tired from our hike, we headed to Blue Bar cafe for a book club meeting and a coffee.
