Montmartre

Montmartre is the home of the Place du Tertre or artists square. Artists set up shop here to paint, draw and sell their work. Famous painters like Picaso, Dali, Monet and Van Goh all lived or had a studio in the area at one time. It was really the artistic quarter of Paris. For souvenirs, people get their portrait drawn or buy a small painted landscape. I'd prefer to save my money for lunch in one of Montmarte's lovely cafes.
