10,000 buddhas

Hands down, this Buddha covered trail and monastery in Sha Tin was one of the most interesting things I've ever seen.  Hidden away in a small town through a small back alleyway is this Buddha fairy land. Climbing the winding road up to the top, you'll see hundreds of life size Buddhas. No two alike. The sculptures expression and gestures make them so lively and give them all such personalty. There was very few people on the trail when I went, but I always felt many eyes on me. When you make it to the top, your greeted by more Buddhas and the monastery which holds 10,000 more. Everyone must go. I can't say it enough.
