Apple Day at Fenton House

Longing to embrace fall, we attended Apple Day at the beautiful Fenton House. Here we finally found the cider we had been searching for. You can choose from alcoholic or not depending on your mood. There are also apple pies, cupcakes, cookies and teas all for the tasting.  But, strolling through the amazing house, grounds, gardens and orchards was probably the best treat of all.

The Secret Garden

A warm day called for a trip to the heath, Hampstead Heath that is. Lisa and I had high hopes for nice fall walk and that's certainly what we got. We hiked through winding trails, up tree lined hills and past berry filled bushes. Eventually we found our way to the enchanted and magical Hill Garden and Pergola. This fairytale structure was practically abandoned and we really felt like stumbled into a secret garden. Strengthening our case, we discovered golden keys laying at the entrance.
